Francois Marie Picote de Belestre

Francois Marie Picote de Belestre was the son of Francois Marie Picote and Marie Catherine (Trotier) de Belestre. His father is often listed as a commandant of Fort Ponchartrain. He filled in for Tonty during the winter of 1721-22, but was never officially commadant. His son, Francois Marie Picote de Belestre, was the last French commandant of Fort Ponchartrain.
