Jacques Pierre Daneau

Jacques Pierre Daneau was born in 1695. His father was Sieur de Muy was the son of Nicolas Daneau, Sieur de Muy, one-time governor of Louisiana. On January 30, 1725, Daneau married Louise Genevieve Dauteuil in Montreal. The couple had six children. Daneau probably took command of Fort Ponchartrain in 1754. He held that post until his death on May 18, 1758.
