Father Pierre (Louis Antoine?) Potier

Pierre (Louis Antoine?) Potier was born in Blandau, Belgium in 1708.

In 1744, Father Potier stayed on Bois Blanc (Bob-Lo) Island with the Wyandots (Hurons) for 5 years while they waiting for tensions with the Ottawas to die down.

Father Potier died in 1781 and was buried under the altar of the church at Mission House. When the church was replace in 1851 by the Church of Assumption, his body was re-buried there.
