Paul Joseph Le Moine, Chevalier de Longueil

Paul Joseph Le Moine, Chevalier de Longueil, was born on September 19, 1701 in Longueville. His father was Charles Le Moine, Baron de Longueville. On October 19, 1728, Le Moine married Marie Genevieve de Joybert in Quebec. They had eleven children.

In 1743, Le Moine was appointed commadant of Fort Ponchartrain, to take effect in 1744. In 1748, when his term ended, Le Moine stayed on as second in commamd at Fort Ponchartrain. He died in Tours on May 12, 1778.
